Asaan Intelligence ("Asaan," "we," "us," "our") provides these instructions in accordance with the WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta Platforms' data deletion requirements. This page explains who can request deletion, how to do it, and what happens afterward. It supplements, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.
01 Who Can Request Deletion
Asaan's service is used by businesses ("Clients") that connect their point-of-sale and payment systems to our service and receive intelligence over WhatsApp. Depending on your relationship to the service, deletion requests are handled as follows:
- Authorised users (owners, partners, or managers designated by a Client) may request deletion of their own account data, credentials, and WhatsApp communications with our agents directly from us.
- End customers (a Client's diners or guests whose data may appear within a Client's connected systems) should direct deletion requests to the Client, since the Client is the controller of that data. We will assist the Client in fulfilling such a request once instructed. If you contact us directly as an end customer, we will forward your request to the relevant Client and confirm once it has been actioned.
- Clients may request deletion of all data associated with their account upon termination of their agreement with us, or at any other time, subject to any records we are required to retain for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
02 How to Request Deletion
- Send a request to either contact listed below, from the email address or WhatsApp number associated with your account where possible, so we can verify the request.
- Tell us what you'd like deleted — for example, your account and credentials, your WhatsApp message history with our agents, or all data associated with a Client account.
- We will confirm receipt of your request within a reasonable time and let you know once the deletion has been completed.
03 What Happens Next
Upon a valid request, we will delete or anonymise the relevant data, except where we are required to retain limited records to meet legal, accounting, tax, or security obligations, in which case that residual data is retained only for as long as necessary and is not used for any other purpose. WhatsApp message logs are otherwise retained for no longer than 90 days as described in our Privacy Policy. Data processed during our complimentary two-week trial is deleted or returned within two weeks of the trial ending if a Client does not proceed with the service.
